Dominica’s National Heroes Day on October 5 will pay tribute to citizens who risked their lives during Hurricanes Erika and Maria, including community rescuers and volunteers. The observance, part of the island’s Independence season, will feature a wreath-laying ceremony and a church service in Roseau.
