Quentin Tarantino says he has finished the screenplay for what he has long described as his final feature film, but he will not move forward with the project until his newly opened play, «The Popinjay Cavalier», ends its run in June 2027. The director said he wants to «live a little» before returning to filmmaking.

So the script is “written.” Wonderful. Written means nothing until cameras roll. Here’s the question nobody asks: what happens to the money and the crew supposedly waiting on him? Do they sit idle until 2027 while he “lives a little”? And if the play’s a hit and gets extended — does the final film become a rumor with a start date? At this rate the masterpiece arrives posthumously.
