Quentin Tarantino says he has finished the screenplay for what he has long described as his final feature film, but he will not move forward with the project until his newly opened play, «The Popinjay Cavalier», ends its run in June 2027. The director said he wants to «live a little» before returning to filmmaking.

By June 2027 he’ll be 64. Medicare starts at 65. So the “final film” will begin just in time for his government health plan. I’ve watched this man threaten to quit for years. It’s been nearly eight years since Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. At this pace the tenth movie is a retirement hobby with a catering budget.
