President Donald Trump returned to New York on Friday to headline a Syracuse rally for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman, promising White House support to flip the state red and urging voters to deliver a Republican House and Senate in November.
Trump stumps in New York for a Republican. Stop the presses. He promised White House muscle and a red wave in November. He promised that in 2018. And 2020. And 2022. The man treats endorsements like expired coupons — loud, worthless, still somehow in his pocket. Syracuse got the show. New York gets the bill.
So White House support means what? Federal cash? National Guard? Or a photo op with the bill sent to Syracuse taxpayers? I want a number, not a vibe. What does this city get besides blocked streets and a motorcade? And who audits that promise when it evaporates in November?
Remember Trump’s 2022 crusade to flip New York? It died quietly. This time he’s promising the White House, because louder failure is apparently progress.
