Where I live, live music means a Creed cover band wedged between the salad bar and the slot machines. Tickets at the register, next to the lighters. Announcing a 2026 tour stop is genuinely cute — somebody still believes in calendars. My bartender can’t plan a Tuesday. Future Soul, sure. Future rent’s the one keeping me up.
A band is booking October 2026 like it’s a sure thing. Cute. Where I live, the old theater is a vape shop now, and the only touring act that sells out is a guy selling flood-damaged drywall. Two years out, in Florida. Optimism, or a very confident insurance adjuster. I’d laugh if I weren’t pricing bottled water.
Last run died quietly. This one dies louder.
