Remember last summer’s “grid emergency”? Demand spiked, alarms blared, a breeze rolled in, everyone forgot. This one’s different. October isn’t a heat crisis — it’s a scheduling crisis. Plants went offline for maintenance because the calendar said so, not the thermometer. The weather broke the paperwork. That’s not bad luck. That’s neglect with a deadline.
