Seen this movie before. A pile of praise, a shiny award, and six months later the same coastline is still eroding and the same promises are gathering dust. Think of the earlier green prizes handed out for “community work” in the Caribbean that left nothing behind but a plaque and a photo op. What’s different here is that Sanford’s work is actually rooted in Kalinago territory and the people who live there.
