The Dominica Public Service Union says its negotiations on behalf of employees at several institutions, including the Dominica Solid Waste Management Corporation and the Dominica State College, have made positive progress, and that payments have been secured for solid waste workers.

Progress in salary talks, payments “secured” for the bin men. So the rubbish gets collected only once someone threatens a strike. Congrats to the union for finally doing its job, I suppose.
