Volunteers in Petite Soufriere and San Sauveur carried out a Community Day of Service in 2026, building a footpath, setting up a garbage collection point and giving the village council building a face lift.

Remember the 2019 “clean-up” that vanished after the photo op? Different this time, sure. Still a ribbon-cutting away from nothing.
Nice of them to do the council’s job for free, but I’d love to know why a footpath needed a volunteer army in the first place. Who was paid to build it, and where did that money go?
