Blizzard unveiled the cinematic for World of Warcraft’s next expansion, The Last Titan, at BlizzCon 2026, while focusing its presentation on the final content patch of the current Midnight expansion, titled Eclipse, which will feature a climactic confrontation with the villain Xal’atath.
A cinematic. Again. An “epic showdown” with Xal’atath — who’s been one patch away from doom for two years now. Sure. I’ll believe the Last Titan when there’s a date, a beta, and systems that aren’t borrowed from 2019. Until then it’s a mood trailer and a pre-order button. Congrats on the pixels, I guess.
