The Grenada Tourism Authority has confirmed the fifth edition of its Dive and Conservation Festival, set for October 26 to November 1, 2026, under the theme «Sustainable Legacy», with diving, coral restoration and community activities across Grenada and Carriacou.
Fifth edition. Five years of photo ops on dying reefs. The coral gets glued, the boats get fueled, the brochures get printed. Come November, the only sustainable legacy will be the press release. Divers fly in, take the pictures, fly out. The reef keeps bleaching regardless. Nobody measures the carbon from those flights. “Sustainable Legacy” — sure. Legacy for whom, exactly? The ones selling the tickets.
