Two years ago my old firm ran a “trust reset” — listening sessions, a hotline, a laminated charter. Six months on, the charter was a coaster and the hotline rang in an empty office. This one differs how? Now there’s a number. 41%. Which means someone can stick it on a slide, trend it quarterly, and call the flat line “headwinds”. Trust as a KPI. Marvellous. Nothing changes except the dashboard.
