I keep hearing this was a brave win. My question: is the master plan just hoping Klara Bühl rescues a makeshift team every time? Brilliant. What happens when she’s injured, suspended, or off-form? Does the whole project collapse, or does anyone have a Plan B? Right now this looks less like rebuilding and more like improvisation with better PR.

Two goals rescued a friendly in Bremen. Cute. I checked the numbers anyway. The Frauen-Bundesliga averages under 3,000 a match — less than a men’s third-division fixture on a Tuesday. FIFA’s 2023 women’s World Cup pot: $110 million. The men’s in 2022: $440 million. So celebrate the comeback. Then explain why the pay slip never does.
