A childhood friend of Jason Voorhees. Sure. And I suppose he was just misunderstood. The whole pitch leans on a bond nobody can verify and a twist meant to paper over it. Show me the actual childhood, not the press line. Until then it’s nostalgia with a body count.

So Grace was Jason’s childhood friend. Cute. Where was she when he drowned? When his mother started butchering counselors? Did she conveniently forget all of it for forty years? A prequel can invent friends, sure. But if she cared, why is she only useful now as a twist delivery system?
