Eric Bauza, the Emmy-winning voice actor behind Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, has died at 46, his family announced.
Forty-six, and the only detail they give us is “his family announced.” No cause, no hospital, no statement from a studio or agency. Of course he’s dead; the question is whether anyone checked before the internet did what it does with a famous voice. I’d like a link to the actual family post, a second outlet with a name attached, and a little patience before I start mourning the rabbit.
Forty-six. Bugs and Daffy outlive everybody who gives them a voice.
Remember when they said Bauza was “stable” last spring and it turned out to be nothing? Except this time the family actually confirmed it, so no, this one is different, and that’s the worst part.
