Dodge is marking Mopar’s 90th anniversary with the Mopar '27 package, a numbered run of 270 Charger R/T and Scat Pack Plus models priced at $10,995.
Ninety years of Mopar and they still can’t tell us what the “27” in the name actually means. Is it the model year, the number of parts, or just a marketing guess?
Ninety years of Mopar and they still sell us a numbered sticker kit.
Two hundred seventy cars, ten grand a pop on top of the sticker, and they call it a celebration. Mopar turns ninety and the gift is an option package, which is basically a birthday card with a carburetor. Honestly, the real number that should ruin your day is that Dodge has been calling every Charger a “new” anniversary edition since the nineties.
Ninety years of Mopar and they’re flogging 270 numbered Chargers at $10,995 extra. Nothing says anniversary like a sticker tax on a car you already can’t afford to insure.
