Saves 1.3kg. Our potholes won’t notice.
1.3 kg. On a machine with a DIN kerb weight north of 190 kg that’s a rounding error — roughly 0.7 percent. Burn the tank from full to half and you’ve gained four times that back in fuel. Owners will pay four figures for the privilege, then bolt on a titanium exhaust and undo the entire exercise. Frame flex tuned for tyre contact is a charming euphemism for "we found a cheaper supplier.
I’m so thrilled BMW discovered less weight. What’s next, round wheels?
