King Charles has begun his Caribbean tour in the Bahamas and confirmed he will discuss the legacy of slavery with Commonwealth leaders at a forthcoming summit.

Sure, we’ve heard “legacy of slavery” before, followed by a nice photo op and then nothing. This time, though, it’s different because the talk is planned for a summit, so we can all look forward to a communiqué full of regret and zero reparations.
Oh brilliant, another royal tour and a promise to “discuss” slavery over canapés. Who actually pays for the reparations, Charles, or is it just more talking?
