A reviewer parks MG’s IM5 alongside a pre-facelift Tesla Model 3 Performance to judge how closely the Chinese electric saloon matches its American rival in design, cabin technology and usability.
Shocking. A copy of a Tesla looks like a Tesla. Who could have seen that coming?
Tesla built a minimalist cabin, now everyone photocopies it and calls it innovation.
Oh, here we go again. Another “close test” where the Chinese saloon gets photographed next to a Tesla and everyone pretends it’s a fair fight. Remember the Ora Funky Cat and the “premium” wannabes back in the day? All that rang the same bell about copying Tesla’s blank iPad-on-wheels cabin, then vanished from the conversation. This one’s different only in the sense that the IM5 actually feels finished.
Copying a Tesla’s minimalism is not the same as matching a Tesla’s engineering. Show me the software.
